Playhouses, Chilis and MORE!

Memorial Weekend started off pretty rainy here. We were going to go camping with Ma and Pa Herbert but instead we all stayed home. :( Two kids,  mixed with mud and rain and no where to run but inside our small Tioga motor-home, I think not.

Friday we went to Lehi to see what grandma Joy was up to she had the day off. She was creating beautiful flower arrangements for the graves. In our family we have about 35 grave sides in 4 different cemeteries. My family believes in using fake flower arrangements that have to be stored in a garage attic and then taken down, dusted and "refluffed" every year. They are beautiful but it's a lot of work I think, however; our graves look awesome every year.
I tried to help but Jim said I would get the "good effort award" against my moms. I admit arranging flowers are not my specialty so I told mom when she died I was gonna auction her arrangements and by Mums. So we helped with that and enjoyed  the company. After we had dinner from Cafe Rio my mom offered to watch the kids overnight so Jim and I could go to a movie.
While waiting for dinner to arrive, I was on KSL looking for dining sets and one popped up. It was 9:30 at night and at 10:00 we became the owners of the beautiful table above. It was only $50, well underpriced very heavy in great condition and I think beautiful. I am grateful as we were outgrowing our other one. Then on to the movie, running...For those of you who haven't seen the movie Iron Man I highly reccomend it. We enjoyed our night.

Sat Jim got up early and went flying to beat the rain. I went to Lehi to pick up kids and hang out. Jim joined us and the other siblings in that afternoon for honey dos, dinner and cards. The girls tied a quilt for our new nephew Mac arriving in July and did dinner and the boys started on a swingset/club house for the grandkids. Jo sat and watched and waited patiently. She told grandpa he had "pive mimutes" to finish it. It will be done for this weekends Sunday dinner and Jo is estatic. She is a little impatient, everytime grandpa took a break to potty, eat, rest, go get more wood, she would say things like why isn't grandpa out working on MY playhouse. She also had dreams about her slide coming in the mail. So funny!!! She hasn't though about anything since.
On Memorial Day our little family went to lunch at Chilis since our plans to go swimming at the Scera were foiled. It was a good time. The kids ate and acted pretty good and then fell asleep on the way home, so Jim and I got to catch up on LOST! WAHOO it was a great weekend. Not very restful, quite busy, but it was fun and lots got done!

Some Weekend Pics!!

Mothers Day 2008

Mothers Day I woke up to my favorite breakfast Jims French Toast just the way I like it and darling paper flowers. I always scold him for buying real flowers as they are pricey and just die so he got up early, and was very innovative with my scrapbook stuff! I love them and they won't even wilt let alone die.

Jim was in charge of the gift for the adult women so on Saturday we dipped over 500 strawberries for 7 hours! It was a good time, probably the most quality time we have spent together in weeks. It was time consuming as we dipped, drizzled and packaged till we hours of the morn but it was a good choice. The women loved them! They were so excited and we had more than enough to share! THANKS Aunt Donna for teh unique Idea.

Church was great, my primary kids sang well, my kids were well behaved and it was nice weather. We had a nice big dinner and my brother Jareds new home and it was lovely. The grandparents and Aunt Dana were there and that is always nice to see them. Then we went to Mama Innes' to celebrate Mom's Day and Rykers bday. It was a good time and good cake!

RYKER IS 2!

On Rykers birthday we tried to go to Provo Towne Center to play on some toys they had there but they have been taken out so we roamed the mall and then left.
We then went to the I.M. Home store to look for a new dining set. Jo sat and watched Ratatoullie and Ryker and I roamed the store. We found this bus that had all sorts of fun learning gadgets and toys and Ryker had a ball.
Then we went to Costco, Smiths, and came home for dinner and cake. Truly it wasn't too eventful and I even felt kinda bad but he didn't seem to care.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ryker!

CHEESE(th)

Ryker turned 2 today! I can't believe it, Time has just flown!  It feels like just a few months ago I  he was learning to walk now he RUNS everywhere including into the streets. He is a very active, funny, and stubborn little boy! He must get that from his Dad.. J/K. He loves anything that has wheels on it, and it is always a TRUCK not a car, van, bus, bike...  He also loves to swing at the park and isn't the least bit afraid of heights. Ryker is our best sleeper you just give him his blanket and puppy and he goes to bed, no having to lye with him, rock him, sing to him... It's Grrreat!
He is getting so smart he can count to 3, build a castle with blocks, transform his transformers, and all that boy stuff. He is his daddy little shadow always wanting to help fix something he is working on. His favorite thing to do is play in his grandpa Mikes truck. He could sit in it for hours! He loves Cheese, strawberries, candy, chocolate or pink milk, and pop!  He is a great kid, he does have a temper but that cute smile with picket fence teeth just melts our hearts daily!
We love you Ryker!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!~ Mom, Dad and Jo

Saturday The kids and I went to a fun birthday party for our friend Sierra. She turns 5 today! We love you Si! That night Jim and I took JO and 17 other 4-H kids to the ReAl Game. It reaffirmed Jims hatred of watching soccer and I admit it was kinda uneventful and dumb that it ended in a tie but it was good to get out. Jo liked being under the sky.

Sunday we went to the Innes' for a yummy dinner and then Jo, Ang and Grandma Jo made cookies. It was good times and YUMMY!

That is it for us! WE hope you are all doing well!
